Mark Pingris' contract extension good as renewed

As far as Magnolia team Governor Rene Pardo is concerned, Mark Pingris' contract that will expire at the end of 2018 PBA season will be renewed.

The issue was raised after Pingris suffered torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee in Game One of their best-of-seven semi-finals playoffs against NLEX last March 10.

"Good as renewed na ang contract ni Ping," said Pardo when asked if his veteran player contract will still be renewed.

A medical bulletin issued after his operation at the St. Luke's Medical Center in Taguig City states that Pingris will be out for at least six to eight months before he can play competitive basketball again.

"Sabi ko sa kanya 'wag mag-worry about his contract just focus on getting better," said Pardo.
