JOSHUA Munzon submitted his application for the PBA Draft on Friday bringing up the list of aspirants for the March 14 event to 42.
The 6-foot-4 slasher joins early applicants Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan,Troy Rike, Andre Caracut, Jun Bonzubre and Tzady Range in the annual proceeding considered by many observers as loaded with potential first round picks.
A potential first round pick, Munzon shot into prominence with his standout performance in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) that saw him taking the lead role while playing for the Saigon Heat and the Westports Malaysia Dragons.
He also made a splash in the PBA D-League after being selected as number 1 pick overall by AMA Online Education. He averaged 35.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in the 2019 Aspirants' Cup, while also becoming the only player to have multiple 40-point games.
The 25-year-old has been a regular fixture in the 3x3 circuit in the past two years, representing the country in the Fiba 3x3 World Tour for pros alongside Pasaol, Santillan, Rike, and Franky Johnson.

Munzon will also be part of Gilas Pilipinas Men's team which will compete in the Fiba 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Graz, Austria in May. (RL)
