Narvasa has no doubt title series between Ginebra and Meralco is a classic in the making

PBA commissioner Chito Narvasa foresees a series that will be a great treat to the fans as Barangay Ginebra and Meralco clash in a PBA Governors Cup title rematch starting Friday at the Quezon Convention Center in Lucena.

"I'm glad to be part of this finale. You can feel the energy. I never felt this before," said Narvasa, sitting in the middle of the two teams facing the sports media in a pre-finals press conference at Sambokojin Restaurant in Eastwood City Tuesday.

"You see the best of the best today -- two great teams in a historical moment. This is a sequel, and I'm sure they will figure in a great battle," said Narvasa, anticipating a long, grind-out playoff duel.

He's excited with the showdown between the two teams on the floor and the coaching duel between grandslam-winning coaches Tim Cone and Norman Black.

"The coaches will not sleep for two weeks. They will try to outthink and outplay each other," said Narvasa.
