The PBA Commissioners' Office has approved the trade between NLEX and Blackwater that allowed the Road Warriors to reacquire big man Marion Magat.
Under the deal, NLEX released Mike Ayonayon, the team's first round pick (No.3 overall) in the 2019 draft, and Will McAloney to Blackwater in exchange for Magat and 2023 (49th Season) 2nd round pick.
It will be a homecoming of sorts for the 6-foot-7 Magat, who had a brief stint with the Road Warriors in 2019 before he was dealt to TNT in a three-way trade that enabled the NLEX to acquire guard Jericho Cruz from TNT.
Ayonayon and McAloney were the latest acquisition of Blackwater in its bid to retool its roster for the PBA Governors' Cup. The Bossing had also acquired Jayvee Casio and Barkley Ibona in a trade with Alaska and Rashawn McCarthy from Terrafirma.
