WHILE the big guns stayed perched on the Top 4, Blackwater Smooth Razor, Terrafirma and Pioneer Elastoseal made their big leap in PBA 3x3 Season 3 Second Conference team standings with their strong finishes in Leg 2.
From seventh in the opening stop, Blackwater climbed to fifth with 100 tour points behind two-leg winner TnT (200), Meralco (120), Cavitex (120) and MCFASolver (105).
Riding on their runner-up performance in the recent leg, the Dyip soared four places to sixth at 98 ahead of the Katibays (86), who got out of the cellar in the 11-team field and improved to seventh.
Terrafirma, Blackwater and Pioneer spearheaded a rush of upsets in the KO rounds of Leg 2 last Tuesday to boost their stocks.
The Dyip shocked Leg 1 runner-up Cavitex, 20-19, while Blackwater stunned Leg 1 third-placer Meralco, 18-16, and Pioneer took down Leg 1 fourth placer MCFASolver, 21-18, in the quarterfinals.

Terrafirma eventually lost to the Triple Giga, 11-21, in its first finals appearance since placing second in Leg 4 of the Season 1 Third Conference. Pioneer joined them in the podium after beating Blackwater for the bronze, 22-18.
Dropping in the wake of the trios' charge were Barangay Ginebra (70), which fell by three to joint eighth with San Miguel Beer (70), Purefoods (63), which plummeted four spots to 10th, and NorthPort (36), which went down by two to 11th and last. (OL)
