PBA 3X3: Comboy tops scoring, steals department

BLACKWATER Smooth Razor's Wendell Comboy continued his fiery showing from the opening stage as he took top scoring honors anew while claiming status as king of steals in the PBA Season 3 Second Conference Leg 2.

A major contributor in Blackwater's semifinal run, Comboy gunned down 42 points in five games spiked by the most baskets made in both the one point and two-point areas.

The sniper out of Far Eastern U paced Pioneer ElastoSeal's Reggie Morido (37) and scoring ace Almond Vosotros of TNT (33) in most points scored.

Comboy's 8.40 markers per game was No. 1 followed by MCFASolver's Brandon Ramirez (7.50) and TNT's Gryann Mendoza (7.33).

Showing he's not a one-sided player, Comboy stripped the opponents eight times for a leg-best average of 1.60 steals ahead of Pioneer's Ken Mocon, who's good for 1.0 steal a match off his six total.

Vosotros, who returned to action after sitting out Leg 1, displayed his playmaking skills with a tournament-high 16 assists in front of Morido (13) and Terrafirma's Shaq Alanes (11).

Jordan Rios and Andre Duremdes, two other key players in the Dyip's runner-up feat in Leg 2, finished 1-2 in most rebounds with 28 and 26, respectively.

Duremdes, son of PBA legend Kenneth Duremdes, also emerged as the sultan of swat with five shot blocks. (OL)
