BARANGAY Ginebra nosed out NorthPort in the race for the 10th and last ticket to the PBA 3x3 Season 3 Second Conference Grand Finals following its quarterfinal entry in Leg 6.
Outside the cutoff line through five legs, the Gin Kings made their big move and took sixth place in the culminating leg last Tuesday to earn 45 tour points and bring their tally over six legs to 173.
This was enough to bump off erstwhile No. 10 Batang Pier, whose 10th place standing in Leg 6 worth 10 points gave them 159 in the final tabulation - 14 short of Ginebra.
History-making TNT, which won all but one of the legs in the mid-season tournament, took their expected spot at No. 1 seed in the conference championship with 560 points.
Meralco, with its third place, and Cavitex, with its runner-up finish, cornered the second and third seeds at 390 and 365, respectively.
Pioneer Elastoseal secured its position inside the "Magic 4" with 356, boosting their stock with a fourth place finish in Leg 6.
