PBA 3X3: Meralco back at the helm

MERALCO eased back to the front of the PBA 3x3 Season 3 Third Conference team standings after taking top honors in Leg 3 last Tuesday.

Earning the maximum 100 tour points from their second win of the conference, the Bolts jacked up their total card to 250 points through three legs to jump to first again after yielding the lead in Leg 2.

The troops of coach Patrick Fran are now level on points with MCFASolver, which had wrested pole position last week from Meralco after its second-leg triumph.

The Tech Centrale placed third in Leg 3 to maintain a slice of the lead.

Despite finishing sixth in Leg 3, Cavitex kept its old spot at No. 3 with 185 points followed by the week's biggest mover, multi-titled TNT, with 160.

Blackwater crashed out of the Magic 4 and found itself at sixth with 126 markers after placing dead last in the third stop.

Purefoods also fell two places and hit seventh with 123 followed by Pioneer Elastoseal (103), Terrafirma (95) and another two-spot dropper, Barangay Ginebra (81) at 10th.

NorthPort, with 73, remained in the cutoff line of 11th at the halfway point of the conference.
