FORCED to settle for fourth last time, TNT unleashed its might on the opposition and quickly returned to the summit.
The Triple Giga, whose four-peat bid was denied a week ago, put up an all-out campaign and captured Leg 5 honors in Season 3 Second Conference Leg 5 plum via a 21-13 clincher over Pioneer Elastoseal Tuesday at the Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces.
Almond Vosotros, Chester Saldua and Samboy de Leon shot six points each while Ping Exciminiano added three in a balanced assault that enabled TNT to blow the Katibays out. Vosotros and Co. ripped the game apart with a 14-3 bomb for 16-7.
"We preach effort, that's our staple in TNT. That's how we win games," said Saldua after the triumph worth P100,000, which hiked the franchise's overall collection to a record-extending 17th leg win.
"Thanks to coach Mau (Belen) for putting a lot of pressure and setting the bar high for us and to Almond for leading the team."
