REIGNING champion EcoOil-La Salle and University of Perpetual Help System Dalta clash in an interesting matchup in the 2023 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena.
Game time is 4 p.m. with the Green Archers and the Altas expected to battle hard for a third win that earns the victor a first place tie with idle Marinwrong Pilipino-San Beda (3-1).
The return of head coach Topex Robinson from a two-week scouting trip in the Unites States should be an added motivation for the Green Archers. Turns out, Robinson has relegated the coaching chores to his deputy, Gian Nazario until the remainder of the tournament.
Kevin Quiambao, CJ Austria, Joshua David and Francis Escandor are also returning to the fold now that their stint in the UAAP 3x3 or over and should add depth to La Salle's bench.
"The reason why we joined the D-League is for experience. We're gonna win some, we're gonna lose some but we always move forward," Nazario said.
