PBA Homecourt: Anthony Semerad ignores hurting elbow to spend time with fans

ANTHONY Semerad set aside his hurting elbow in order to join the latest foray of PBA Homecourt in Pasig on Thursday.

Semerad showed up with his right elbow still in a sling after recently undergoing surgery to remove bone spurs on his shooting hand.

But he doesn't mind the discomfort as he gamely mingled with basketball fans, young and old alike, in Barangays San Miguel and Palatiw following another surprise visit by the league led by Commissioner Willie Marcial.

"It was a good experience. I love seeing the happy faces of the kids, just mingling around and being with them," said the TnT Katropa shooting forward.

Unfortunately, the Fil-Australian failed to assist during the free throw shooting contest, and instead helped out in distributing giveaways and tickets among winning fans.

He also signed autographs and took photos along with the crowd.

"I wanted to shoot and play with them but I couldn't So I just have to stand there. But it was good and fun," said Semerad.

Adding joy to the event was the crowd in Barangay Palatiw singing and greeting Marcial a happy birthday.

Semerad said he'll definitely do it again especially for the PBA fans.

"I'll do it again with a healthy arm this time," he said.
