Bases Conversion and Development Authority president Vince Dizon hinted at a favorable government response on the PBA plan to return to play on a bubble concept in Clark in October.
Dizon expressed optimism based on the direction the government is taking to get the economy back on its feet.
"What better symbol of trying to get back to the new normal than restarting the most important pastime in the Philippines which is basketball," said Dizon on his appearance on Sports Page on TV5 Monday.
"Naniniwala kami kung in place ang protocols at masisigurado na talagang very safe ang ating gagawin tulad ng ginagawa sa NBA sa Disney World, tingin ko magiging open ang IATF at ang gobyerno para dito," added Dizon, who is part of the IATF team as deputy chief implementer of the National Action Plan against COVID-19
Dizon himself assured a safe environment for the PBA bubble in Clark with the help of Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and Clark Development Corporation (CDC).

"Sasagutin na po ng Clark Development Corporation ang testing ng lahat ng ating mga players, coaches, staff at lahat ng mai-involve sa bubble. Kami na rin po ang tutulong sa kanila through the help of our health experts para gumawa ng testing protocols," said Dizon. "Lahat po 'yan ay nasa control ng national government through the CDC at ng BCDA. Maganda po ang magiging partnership."
Clark gained the nod of the PBA board as bubble play host, for one, on the strength of the facilities that it can boast of, notably its own molecular laboratory and a very serviceable hospital in The Medical City.
Dizon said they will also make sure that the play venue at the Angeles University Foundation will be safe for everyone.
"Hindi lang po ang Clark, lahat ilalagay natin sa bubble. Lahat ng venues for practice and the games itself, lahat po 'yan naka-bubble. Ibig sabihin, lahat po ng papasok diyan ay kailangan strict. Ang protocols for testing and checking for all clinical symptoms, gagawin po 'yan ng ating health experts at ating mga doctor," he said.
"'Yung ating mga buses ay provided ng Clark. Lahat po 'yan ay sanitized and disinfected. May escorts po tayo from Clark hanggang sa city of Angeles. Tuloy-tuloy po 'yan," Dizon added. (SB)
