Barangay Ginebra has added a weapon in its wing rotation by acquiring Jeff Chan from Phoenix Petroleum in exchange for the Gin Kings' first round pick in the 2018 Rookie Draft in December.
The Kings struck the deal with the Fuel Masters, for one, in their determined effort to salvage a playoff spot in the PBA Commissioner's Cup that they've won in the past two seasons.
Ginebra is currently at ninth place at 3-5 while Phoenix Fuel is next at 3-6.
Chan has been among Phoenix's top guns in the current tourney, averaging 11.5 points on a respectable 38-percent shooting clip. He also puts in 4.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.22 steals an outing.
But he had his best years with Rain or Shine, where he won two championships and a Finals Most Valuable Player award in the 2012 Governors' Cup.
