ROGER Pogoy began practicing with TNT Tropang Giga, with hopes of rejoining the team as it makes a last-minute push for its playoff bid in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
The 31-year-old gunner from Cebu still hasn't played contact basketball, but is already present in practices and during the Tropang Giga's weight training.
Pogoy said he's already been given the go-signal by doctors to play again after initially being diagnosed with myocarditis or the inflammation of heart muscles.
"Nagpa-practice na ako," he said. "Pero hindi pa ako nakapag 5-on-5 kasi nagkasunod-sunod yung laro ng team (late last year)."
He was supposed to play his first game for the season last Christmas Day against Barangay Ginebra, but still lacking in practices, the Tropang Giga decided to defer his comeback.

Coach Jojo Lastimosa said the team is looking at January 14 as a possible comeback game for Pogoy against Phoenix, meaning he won't be seeing action yet when TNT battles the rising Rain or Shine Elasto Painters on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Tropang Giga are currently tied with the Elasto Painters for seventh to eighth places with identical 4-5 records.(RG)
