The San Miguel Beermen may have advanced to the Finals of the 2017 Philippine Cup, but the TNT KaTropa have found a reason to celebrate too -- They have regained their prominent status as title contenders.
"Well, I think we realize that we can compete again. Kasi very inconsistent din ang Talk N Text the last couple of years. Kasi we will perform in one conference and miss out on the next two," said Racela.
"Hopefully, hindi lang din isa. We try to sustain it after the conference. So, right now, we look to rest and recover for the next conference."
San Miguel has been a tough assignment for Racela and his KaTropa as the Beermen have been consistent for the past years, advancing to the Philippine Cup finals for the third straight year, aiming for their third straight PhilCup championship as well.
It can be remembered that TNT gave the defending champions a real scare by leading the series at 3-2 before losing two straight.
