JERIE Pingoy has considered the recent PBA Draft as his last chance to resuscitate his once promising career.
Picked by Phoenix in the fifth round (52nd pick overall), Pingoy can rest assured that he will get his chance to prove himself.
Phoenix coach Topex Robinson knows exactly how it feels to be selected late in the draft.
Robinson was also selected in the fifth round of the 2001 draft that included PJ Simon and Alvin Patrimonio's younger brother, Allen.
Although Robinson (44th pick overall) wasn't signed by Red Bull until 2003 as a free agent, the Phoenix coach swears he remains grateful to Yeng Guaio, the Red Bull coach at the time.

"I am where I am now because coach Yeng took a chance on me back in 2003. I will be forever grateful to him," Robinson said.
On that note, Robinson said he's returning the favor and assures to give Pingoy all the support he needs.
"Everyone deserves a chance. Now that I'm a coach, it's my opportunity to give chance to others," stressed the Phoenix coach.
"I can't guarantee anything to (Jerie) Pingoy because everything will depend on the choices that he will make."
Robinson said Pingoy is set to undergo workout with the Fuel Masters next week. (RJ)
