So KIA is officially out of the playoff race. And there's no guarantee things will change next conference.
Amid the uncertainties and struggles that marred the Picanto's campaign in the Philippine Cup, Ronald Tubid remains resolute, though. He knows there's no other way for Kia but to trust the process.
"We're a very young team. Tapos we changed system for one week lang, so di mo naman makukuha agad yun in one conference. Sobrang galing na namin pag nakuha namin kaagad yung sistema. But it's a process," he said.
In the aftermath of KIA's 95-76 loss to Blackwater, the veteran forward readily admitted that even on a good day the Picanto's best wouldn't be enough to save their campaign.
That's why he's urging his teammates to remain hungry and maintain their desire to step up every game because he knows too well that's the only way for KIA to be successful.

Being a former member of a champion team, Tubid said it's very important that their young players learn from all their struggles.
KIA has two more games left in the eliminations against GlobalPort and San Miguel and Tubid keeps reminding his teammates continue to play with gusto as if they are still in contention for a playoff spot.
"Eliminated na kami pero ang mindset namin dapat parang in contention pa kami for a playoff berth. That's the only way for us to grow," he said.
"Hopefully, we finish this conference strong at win one at least one more game. That would really be great." (DL)
