Rosario back in uniform as Blackwater tangles with Meralco

Blackwater has reactivated Troy Rosario but is sticking with Shawn Glover at least in the Bossing's face-off with Meralco Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Before posting time of this story, Blackwater had not informed the PBA Commissioner's Office of import change although reports said the team has flown in a prospective import replacement in former NBA player Troy Williams.

A certainty is Rosario reporting back for duty, making him an extra warm body as the Bossing tangle with the Bolts in their 6:45 p.m. tussle.

Glover and Co. will be out to pick up the pieces after a shattering 105-86 loss to San Miguel Beer Wednesday while KJ McDaniels and the Bolts look to rebound from a 96-88 upset by the Terrafirma Dyip a week ago.

The Bolts were in a perfect two-game run until falling prey to the Dyip while the Bossing were coming off a 108-105 win over the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters before being ripped apart by the Beermen, thus, sliding to 1-2.

The goal for both is to build momentum again in their Antipolo clash.

Rosario's comeback is surely a welcome development for the Bossing, with their shortage in ceiling.

Since Rosario's transfer from TNT, the 6-foot-4 forward has played just five games with the Bossing, his stint in the Commissioner's Cup abbreviated by plantar fasciitis and a procedure for bone spurs.

Relegated on the injured/reserve list is Rey Publico on Rosario's reactivation.

Also in focus is Glover and his response on the reported arrival of a possible replacement.

But whatever it is, Glover faces a tough task against the Bolts and their do-it-all import McDaniels.

McDaniels could be in for another explosive night after their upset by the Jordan Williams-led Terrafirma Dyip.

The Meralco import had 29 points and 19 rebounds as against Williams' 29 markers, eight boards, five steals and three assists.

But the Bolts had no answer for Juami Tiongson who banged away 30 points, including six three-pointers.

Prior to that loss, Meralco blasted Rain or Shine, 105-87, then clipped NorthPort, 107-102.
