THE PBA drew a large number of attendance when it held the second round of its Players Development Program Monday at the Meralco Theater.
A total of 173 players were around for the three-hour event where issues regarding prejudice, bullying, violence against women and children, annulment, among many others were discussed by Atty. Ariel Magno and Dr. Jasmin Nario-Galace.
Dr. Nario-Galace specifically talked about prejudice, equality, and discrimination especially the prevalence of bullying today. She is chair of the Education Association of the Philippines's Justice and Peace Educational Committee and a member of the Advisory Council of the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA).
Atty. Magno meanwhile, discussed prejudice, violence against women and children, annulment, bigamy, concubinage, and divorce.
The former Sta. Lucia representative to the PBA Board also expounded on the 'Bawal Bastos' Law, which imposes stiffer penalties on a range of acts from sexist slurs, catcalling, stalking, and cyberstalking.

"Kaya may mga ganyang batas is for you guys to respect and honor your partners," said Magno of the new law recently signed by President Duterte.
"If you are guided by the law and you follow the law, hindi kayo magkaka-problema," Atty. Magno added.
League Commissioner Willie Marcial gave out the opening remarks.
"Katulad ng sinabi ko kanina malaking tulong ito sa mga players at kung may problema man, puwede silang lumapit sa amin (PBA) at puwede kaming makatulong sa inyo," said Marcial.
It was the second Players Development Program the league has held this season and Marcial didn't discount a third one would be forthcoming.
