GILAS Pilipinas scored another win in a two-day span, repeating over the Ukrainian U-20 team, 84-74, Sunday night at the Zalgirio Arena in Lithuania.
Naturalized player Justin Brownlee caught fire early on for the team, scoring 16 first half points to set the tone for the Filipinos.
The 35-year-old Brownlee finished with 21 points and eight rebounds, with CJ Perez the other player in double digits for Gilas with 14.
It was the second straight win for the Philippines against the same Ukrainian side after claiming their first meeting, 70-61.
So far, coach Chot Reyes noted the small gains earned by the team four games into its three-week European training camp as part of its FIBA World Cup preparations.

Scottie Thompson sat out the game anew due to back spasm, but Chris Newsome returned to active roster after sitting out the first meeting due to a bruised knee.
Gilas earlier lost its first two tune up games against Estonia (81-71) and Finland (89-85) in the capital city of Tollinn, before proceeding to the city of Kaunas in Lithuania.
Naturalized player Ange Kouame is set to join the team in its last two tune up matches after arriving in Lithuania on Sunday.(RG)
