JERON Teng doesn't mind playing supporting role in a stacked-up San Miguel Beer side especially in his quest for a first ever PBA championship.
The 29-year-old De La Salle product has been a go-to-guy with Alaska, and later with Converge in the six seasons he played so far in the league.
But that is bound to change as he joins a Beermen team that has the likes of CJ Perez, Terrence Romeo, Jericho Cruz, and Marcio Lassiter basically playing the same position as him.
No problem with that, according to Teng.
"I just fill in the role the coaches are going to give me. I am a team player naman," he said.

"What's important is really the goal and that is to win the championship. Whatever they ask me or need me to do, I'll do it," said Teng as he joined the rest of the Beermen during the PBA Media Day at the Esplanade.
Teng landed at San Miguel after Converge decided to let him go as a free agent, eventually signing a two-year deal with the multi-titled franchise.
The move became even significant since his father, retired big man Alvin Teng, made a career playing for San Miguel where the man who goes by the moniker 'Robocop' won a total of nine championships in nine seasons.
The younger Teng hopes to replicate at least even half of what his legendary father achieved with the Beermen. And everything starts with him winning his very first title.
"Whatever it takes for us to win a championship. We all have a similar goal and we're here to support and cheer for each other," said the San Miguel wingman.
