Terrafirma wears down Alaska, claims vital win

ON the brink, the Terrafirma Dyip rose to the moment and carved out a 105-89 victory over the Alaska Milk Aces in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Don Honorio Ventura State U Gym in Bacolor, Pampanga Sunday.

The quartet of Rasham McCarthy, Juami Tiongson, Roosevelt Adams and Aldrech Ramos led Terrafirma's tough stand, and the Dyip avoided an outright elimination in snapping a three-game slump.

But with a closing 4-7 win-loss mark in the elims, the Dyip will still have to wait to know their fate.

They hope to figure in a tie at eighth for a possible playoff crack at the last quarterfinals berth.

But they will automatically bomb out if either or both the Barangay Ginebra Kings and the Alaska Milk Aces hit win No. 5.
