Terrence Romeo is all geared up for the playoffs after TNT KaTropa sealed the No. 3 seed in the quarterfinals of the PBA Commissioner's Cup with a 100-85 win over Rain or Shine at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Saturday night.
Romeo has made it past the quarterfinals just once since GlobalPort made him its first round pick in the 2013 draft, a drought he hopes would end this conference with TNT, which acquired him from GlobalPort in a trade last March.
TNT will face No. 6 seed San Miguel in the quarterfinals which starts on Monday at the Big Dome.
"Di pa yun ang gusto namin makuha pero mas pagbubutihin namin sa playoffs," Romeo said after dishing out a career-high 12 assists against Rain or Shine. "Yun ang kailangan, makapasok kami sa semis then bahala na pagdating sa semis."
His only semi-final appearance came in the 2016 Philippine Cup Final Four as part of the GlobalPort squad that included Stanley Pringle, Jay Washington, Joseph Yeo and Billy Mamaril.

The Batang Pier lost that series, 4-1, despite winning the series opener.
The KaTropa, who went 8-3 in the elims, will have their hands full as they hope to beat the Beermen in a duel that many expect would take place either in the semis or finals.
San Miguel beat TNT, 99-94, in their lone elims encounter last June 16 at the Mall of Asia Arena.(JT)
