This Grab driver deserves to be called hero

There's a hero in each of us and Grab driver Paciano Perez Idea exemplified this with a good deed to a pregnant passenger one summer afternoon.

On April 15, Perez accepted the booking of a woman who needed to be rushed to the hospital for "stomach pain."

When they reached the hospital, he didn't merely drop the woman off at the emergency room driveway.

"Gusto ko maihatid ko yung nanay at ang anak niya nang walang problema," adds Idea, who's been a Grab driver for seven years.

For his act of kindness, the PBA feted Idea during the third quarter of the Governors' Cup match between Columbian Dyip and Rain or Shine at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Sunday.

Idea was the latest recipient of the "PBA Heroes" honor initiated by Commissioner Willie Marcial to celebrate heroic actions in everyday life. (OL)
