After playing just two games with the Meralco Bolts, Mike Tolomia have shown signs that he is a perfect fit for the team.
"Ang sabi ni coach Norman (Black) I will be playing as back up for Baser (Amer). Pero may stretches din sa game na pagsasabayin nya kami kaya kailangan daw lagi akong handa. Kaya yun ang tina-trabaho ko," said Tolomia, who was acquired from Rain or Shine in exchange for fellow Gilas cadet Ed Daquioag.
The former FEU Tamaraw star guard and Daquioag played together for the Gilas Pilipinas team that retained the SoutheastAsian Games Basketball championship recently.
Tolomia played his second game with the Bolts on Wednesday in a 113-107 loss to the TNT KaTropa. He tallied nine points in 13 minutes of action, but more importantly, he showed his potential to be a leader.
The Bolts were visibly out-of-sync against the KaTropa, something that Black had expected considering the team hasn't played since beating Phoenix last August 18.

"Inexpect ng mga coaches na mag-strugle kami dahil matagal yung break naming," said Tolomia who is slowly adjusting with his new role.
"Sobrang dali kong mag-adjust sa team kasi ang babait ng mga players. Lahat sila tinutulungan ako, kumabaga hindi lang ako nag-aadjust, pati sila nag-aadjust din para sa akin," he added.
