PBA 3x3 top gun Almond Vosotros and naturalized big man Ange Kouame banner the 10-man pool out to regain the half court gold in the coming Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
Vosotros and Kouame were named by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) as part of the training team preparing for the May 5-17 biennial meet.
Also in the pool are Vosotros' TNT teammates Samboy De Leon and Lervin Flores, Jorey Napoles of Cavitex, Purefoods' Joseph Eriobu, Meralco's Alfred Batino and Jeff Manday, Joseph Sedurifa of J&T, and Brandon Bates of Platinum Karaoke.
Last year during the Vietnam edition of the SEA Games, the Philippines failed to retain the 3x3 gold as it could only bag a bronze behind a team led by Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Marvin Hayes, Reymar Caduyac, and Napoles.
But the SBP is dead set to regain both the gold in men's 5-on-5 and 3x3 events this year as it released last week the training pool comprising the two teams.
