KALEB Wesson is not the flashy type of import, but appeared to be what the doctors ordered for Phoenix Super LPG.
After a slow start, the Fuel Masters have picked up the pace and are now back at .500 mark after winning their third straight games in the PBA Commissioner's Cup at the expense of the Meralco Bolts.
Wesson has not been putting up monster numbers, but is effective enough to complement the entire Fuel Masters team.
"When we took in Kaleb, we know what we're gonna get. We're not expecting Kaleb to score 30 points, 40 points. If he scores 40, we're gonna kick him out," said coach Topex Robinson with a smile.
The 23-year-old product of Ohio State has his work cut out for him at Phoenix, according to Robinson.

"We want somebody who's gonna defend, who's gonna be our glue-guy, who's gonna be vocal, and who's gonna make sure everybody is on the same page," said the Phoenix coach.
So far, so good the 6-foot-10 Wesson is doing well in his role, averaging 19.8 points, 18.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in six games.
And he also happens to be a leader on the court.
"He really gets everybody involved, wakes them up pag natutulog, and that's what we are really looking for Kaleb, and he's just responding so well," noted Robinson.
"Even when we were 0-3 he was still there. He knows his mistakes, he owes it, and he tries to get better also."
