WILLIAM Navarro's family sought a better life when they chose to relocate to Athens.
Little did they know that their search for the good life will take them back to the Philippines as William pursues his dream of playing in the PBA.
"Gusto ko na rin makatulong sa father ko and gusto ko rin mag-aral yung kapatid ko sa Ateneo," offered William, considered by many as a potential early pick in the upcoming PBA Draft.
At 6-foot-6, Navarro joins the list of talented bigs, who have entered the March 14 exercise.
What sets him apart from the competition though is his intelligence, something Blue Eagles coach Tab Baldwin keep pointing out. Back in the UAAP Season 82, William averaged 7.3 points on 44-percent shooting, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 21.3 minutes.

William's on-court smarts led Baldwin to include him in the Gilas pool that topped Thailand, 93-61, in the second window of the 2021 Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers.
William said it pains him to leave Ateneo where he has one more playing year left, so he consulted Baldwin regarding his move to join the PBA bandwagon.
"I asked for his advice and ang sabi naman niya na hindi niya ako pipigilan sa decision ko," he said.
William hopes he made the right decision.
"I'll do whatever the team [that picks me] wants and needs me to do for us to win, mapa-rebounding man yan, shooting or more just like in Ateneo," he said. (RL)
