PHOENIX pummeled NLEX, 92-32, to stay undefeated in the 2024 Batang PBA-Centrum Kids 15-under tournament on Wednesday at the CCF Sports Center in Pasig.
Five players hit double digits led by Francis Castro with 17 points as the Batang Fuel Masters, who posted the tournament's biggest margin to take the lead in Group A lead with 3-0 record.
Ace guard Simone Jacob "Sky" Jazul did not play but Castro got a lot of support from Ethan Tan-Chi (13 points), Maxwell Gaerlan-Train (12 points), Sebastian Banate (12 points ) and Gadiel Castro (10 points).
Converge also assumed the pole position in Group B with its third straight win after obliterating Rain or Shine, 82-42.
Jacob Datu fired 15 points while Prince Cari?o and Sheikh Jirom Chan added 12 and 11, respectively, for the Batang FiberXers.

John Deang had 13 points for the Batang Gin Kings, who improved to 2-1 in Group B while the Batang Bossing also improved to 2-1 in Group A behind the 23 points of Prince Cabog.
Meanwhile in the 13U games, Rain or Shine blasted San Miguel, 81-56, Ginebra bested Converge, 63-55, and Talk 'N Text demolished Phoenix, 77-39.
Sean Lopo produced 25 points for the Batang Elasto Painters, who notched their second straight win in Group B.
Jordan Tagle had 14 while Aldrich Tortogo, Jeffrey Lopez, Richmond Pari?as and Johan Cabrera added eight each for the Batang Gin Kings (1-0) in Group A.
