THE Rain or Shine Elasto Painters celebrated the holiday season with huge smile on their faces.
The team was right on target just before taking its Christmas break following a four-game winning run in the PBA Commissioner's Cup, highlighted by a 124-112 win over upset-conscious Terrafirma in the Elasto Painters' final game for 2024.
The win placed Rain or Shine in solo second place with a 4-1 record.
"It's good to win four straight games before Christmas, before the New Year," said coach Yeng Guiao.
"It's really a nice feeling to go on a vacation or in to the Christmas break with four straight wins."

Rain or Shine played a total of five games in December and the modest goal was to win at least three of them.
But the Elasto Painters obviously exceeded expectations as they won four in a row including against big guns Magnolia, guest team Eastern, and defending champion San Miguel.
Their only loss came in the team's debut game against Meralco in which it played without import Deon Thompson, who has yet to get his playing clearance back then.
"Na-accomplish naman namin yung objective ng team," Guiao said.
A corresponding bonus of course, await the Elasto Painters with co-team owners Raymund Yu and Terry Que ever known to be generous when it comes to the franchise.

"They always appreciate it especially when you're winning," said Guiao.
A new challenge faces Rain or Shine by January when it plays the rest of their seven games to start the New Year while resuming their campaign in the mid-season conference.
But the team will just think about it later on. For the meantime, the Elasto Painters will go and enjoy what has been a gratifying holiday break for them.(RG)
