EASL: TNT bows to Anyang, remains winless in four games

ANYANG Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters added to the woes of TNT in the EASL Home and Away season as the Korean side hacked out a 105-97 win at home on Wednesday night.

The reigning B. League champion took the initiative early on before turning back one Tropang Giga rally after another at the Anyang gymnasium.

It was the fourth straight loss for TNT and on the verge of failing to advance in the semifinals.

Import Daryl Moore had a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Seongwon Choi had a team-high 24 points and teamed up with Filipino Rhenz Abando (13 points) as they hit crucial baskets in the homestretch that kept TNT at bay.

The Red Boosters improved to 2-0 and remain in second place behind the unbeaten Chiba Jets (3-0) in Group B. The Tropang Giga missed top gun Jayson Castro but got enough firepower from the trio of Quincy MIller, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Calvin Oftana.
