JEO Ambohot came through with a mammoth game with 31 points and eight rebounds, leading Converge to a second straight win with a 109-84 rout of the short-handed TNT Tropang Giga in the PBA on Tour Wednesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The 6-foot-7 Ambohot had a rare field day from beyond the arc, rifling in eight triples as the FiberXers scored a follow-up on their 113-111 overtime win over the San Miguel Beermen Sunday.
With those back-to-back wins, the FiberXers hit the .500 mark at 3-3 while keeping the Tropang Giga winless in four starts in the preseason series presented by Arena Plus and sponsored by Bingo Plus.
The FiberXers dominated the boards, 52-42, and hit heavily from afar, firing a total of 18 three-pointers as against the Tropang Giga's 11.
Jeron Teng scored 19 points including three treys, Jerrick Balanza also had three trifectas and a total of 14 while Mike Nieto banged away two three-pointers and a total of 10.

Justin Arana, meanwhile, flexed his muscles against the undersized TNT frontline and collected a superb all-around numbers with 18 points, 14 rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Glenn Khobuntin continued to be the lead light for TNT in the absence of Jayson Castro, Mikee Williams, Kelly Williams, RR Pogoy and Poy Erram.
The 6-foot-2 guard/forward pumped in 22 markers to pace the Tropang Giga who also drew double-digit outputs from Jaydee Tungcab with 15 and Carl Bryan Cruz with 13.
No other TNT player scored in double figures.
The FiberXers made the most on their advantage in artillery, taking the half at 55-42 and leading by as many as 29 in the third at 76-47.
They led by 21, 78-57, by out scoring TNT, 23-15, in the third canto. (SB)
