FROM what he deemed as "a good loss," coach Tim Cone is leading Barangay Ginebra back into action versus Terrafirma Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Undermanned, weary and all, Justin Brownlee and his teammates barely allowed Hong Kong Eastern to escape with a 93-90 decision in their PBA Commissioner's Cup face-off Sunday at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo.
And that was a loss Cone took in stride, saying the fighting performance of his weary team speaks well for them moving forward.
"This is a game that we wanted to win because we're representing the league," Cone said. "But you know, you're going to have a good loss, which is a good loss for us.
"We just couldn't get our legs underneath us after playing two games in the last couple of days. We kept battling and fighting. We willed ourselves to stay in the game even though we weren't playing well. So that bodes well for us down the line," Cone added.

With a welcome two-day breather, the Kings return to battle versus the Terrafirma Dyip at 7:30 p.m. with Ginebra looking for a quick turnaround, eyeing a third win in four starts.
The Dyip, meanwhile, hope only for the best as they've been struggling badly all season long - or all these years - still without a win to show in five games in the midseason tourney.
Last conference, they're good for just a win against nine losses.
For the Kings, Terrafirma is an assignment to regain their stride before hitting the road Saturday in Batangas City where they tangle with the Converge FiberXers. Coming next are Magnolia and NorthPort.
But it's a light week now for the Kings compared to their killer opening salvo where they played three games in five nights.

Their target in their fourth win is going up to 3-1 to gain a piece of third place with the Meralco Bolts, just behind the NorthPort Batang Pier (5-0) and the HK dribblers of the Eastern team.(SB)
