Game official a 'suspected' case after test

According to the PBA one of its game officials has tested positive of covid-19.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial was informed of the result 24 hours after the game official took the mandatory swab test along with 27 others last Oct.19. His previous three tests - all mandatory to enter the bubble -- yielded negative results

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said the game official has already been brought at the Athlete's Village in Tarlac for quarantine and will be tested today. First and second layer persons who have been in contact with the game official have already been put in isolation, they will be retested on Oct. 24.

The PBA maintained that a strict protocol in place and it has not been breached. All the risks are being evaluated by the PBA medical team, the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and the Department of Health (DOH).

All games will continue as scheduled although stricter measures will be in effect inside the bubble and during games. As part of the protocol, all activities (swimming, gym, jogging etc.) on Wednesday were temporarily suspended to give way to sanitization.
