Legal matters to be tackled as PBA holds new round of players orientation

ATTY. Ariel Magno and Dr. Jasmin-Nario Galace will be the special guest speakers when the PBA holds its latest players' orientation on Monday.

The 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. event at the Meralco gym tackles specific issues related to prejudice, violence against women and children, annulment, and other matters.

Atty. Magno, the former Sta. Lucia representative to the league board, is assigned to discuss the above sensitive issues.

Nario-Galace, chair of the Education Association of the Philippines' Justice and Peace Educational Committee, gives a talk about prejudice, equality, and discrimination. She is also a member of the Advisory Council of the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA).

The orientation is in line with the league's Player Development Program.
League Commissioner Willie Marcial is reminding all players to attend the orientation, which is a mandatory sanctioned activity by the PBA.

At the same time, he stressed the event will help guide teams and players in their personal and work-related undertakings.

The league held its first players' orientation last February where issues on financial management, social media activities, proper grooming, and the importance of one's mental health were discussed.
