W for Wilcon. W for win.
It's the kind of mindset new PBA 3x3 team Wilcon Depot is looking to build in its initial foray in the halfcourt league which kicks off Season 3 on July 3 at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
Tasked to instill such mentality on the franchise is coach Anton Altamirano, who tapped champion players Ael Banal, TH Tumalip, big man Keith Datu, Louie Vigil, and team captain Yutien Andrada to comprise the team.
With the exception of Vigil, the rest of the players all suited up for Altamirano previously with Platinum Karaoke, a two-leg champion in the first two seasons of PBA 3x3.
Vigil of course, was likewise a three-leg champion before while playing for San Miguel.

Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, Wilcon Depot Inc. Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, echoed the same sentiment as Altamirano.
"We're proud of this endeavor and we have high hopes that our brand can fare well and compete at a high level in PBA 3x3," she said.
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial and tournament director Joey Guanio both welcomed Wilcon Depot to the league's 3x3 family as it competes as one of two guest teams starting in the First Conference.
Aside from Wilcon Depot, the 10 other teams seeing action this season are fellow guest team Pioneer Katibays, and regulars TNT, Purefoods TJ Titans, Cavitex, Meralco, Barangay Ginebra, Terrafirma 3x3, NorthPort, San Miguel, and Blackwater Red President. (RG)
