FOR the fifth time in the last seven years, the PBA will hold its traditional Media Day two weeks before ushering its Season 49 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Set August 5-6, the event is slated at the Le Park Event Hall in Pasay City.
All 12 teams are expected to participate in the whole-day affair that includes photo shoots with teams and players, various interviews by print, online, and tv reporters, and other fun-filled activities.
The event will also see up close and personal the incoming batch of rookie players and the cast of imports seeing action in the season-opening Governors' Cup.
Teams scheduled to appear in Day 1 are TNT Tropang Giga, Terrafirma Dyip, San Miguel Beermen, Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, Phoenix Fuel Masters, and Northport Batang Pier.

Meanwhile, listed in Day 2 are the NLEX Road Warriors, Meralco Bolts, Magnolia Hotshots, Converge FiberXers, Blackwater Bossing, and Barangay Ginebra.
This marks the fifth time the league is holding a pre-season Media Day first introduced by Commissioner Willie Marcial in 2018 at the Solaire Hotel.
Succeeding editions were held in 2019 at Okada Hotel, 2022 at Novotel, and 2023 at Esplanade.
The Media Day was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic.
This will be the second major activity of the league prior to the new season after holding the annual Rookie Draft at the Glorietta last July 14. (RG)
