Business giants Ramon S. Ang and Manny V. Pangilinan and the Udena Foundation of Dennis Uy, all part of the PBA family, drew special thanks from President Rodrigo Duterte in the latter's latest address to the nation entering the third week of period of community quarantine amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chief Executive made special mention of some people from the business sector for their assistance to the government and the Filipino people in the face of a deadly health threat.
"Their help was overwhelming," said Duterte.
"In behalf of the Filipino people, I thank you and your compassion and your generosity. And my personal gratitude," said Duterte.
Ang is the chief of San Miguel Corp. which has three PBA ball clubs in San Miguel Beer, Barangay Ginebra and Magnolia while Pangilinan is the top boss of the MVP Group which also runs three PBA teams in TNT, Meralco and NLEX.

Meanwhile, Uy, a Davaoeno businessman with a growing business empire, owns the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters ball club.
Ang, Pangilinan and Uy were among the early responders as the government announced the community quarantine, sending the economy to a halt.
