ROMMEL Adducul obviously knows and understands the major sacrifices medical front liners have been doing in this time of the pandemic.
His better half after all, is among them.
The Blackwater deputy coach can't help but feel concern about his doctor wife, who had to regularly report for work especially with the country currently facing a health crisis of such magnitude.
And so his appeal is for people to stay home if there's no pressing matter to do, and at the same time, always follow safety and health protocols.
"Since nung lockdown pumapasok siya sa Cardinal Santos (Medical Center), nagta-trabaho pa rin araw-araw," said Adducul of Dra. Jocelyn Cobankiat. "As much as possible, mag-ingat talaga tayo."

Appearing in the PBA Kamustahan podcast, Adducul made the appeal not only for his wife, but also for the entire front liners and workforce, who had been risking their lives and limbs to help reduce the cases of the coronavirus.
Other than what he reads and watches on television, the 44-year-old big man also get to know first-hand about the deadly virus through her daily conversation with his nephrologist wife.
"Kaya may alam ako sa COVID-19. Kapag nagkaroon ka nito, mahirap. Mahirap talagang magkasakit," said Adducul, who played for a decade in the PBA and suited up for teams such as Barangay Ginebra, San Miguel, Purefoods, Powerade, and NorthPort.
Her wife also had a chance to check on former Purefoods guard Junel Mendiola during the time the cager was confined at Cardinal Santos hospital, where he underwent lung surgery.
Adducul himself was able to visit and see his one-time Philippine teammate before Mendiola died last June 16.

While Aduducul still believes things will be back to once it was pre-pandemic days, it would be better at the moment for people to live and embrace the way of life under the so-called new normal.
"Be very careful, dahan-dahan dapat. Huwag tayong pabigla-bigla, dapat talagang pinag-hahandaan ang mga desisyon natin," said the big man out of San Sebastian College.
"Lalo na ang daming asymptomatic na carrier (ng COVID), so kailangan pag-iingatan natin talaga." (RG)
