DESPITE parting ways with Terrafirma, Juami Tiongson still wishes the best for former team Terrafirma.
The veteran guard played his first game for San Miguel on Tuesday and contributed right away in the close 107-104 win over Phoenix in the Beermen's debut game in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Tiongson finished with eight points, two rebounds, and five assists, though he still struggled from the floor behind a 3-of-10 shooting.
While he's now a Beerman, the 33-year-old product of Ateneo de Manila still maintains respect to the Dyip, where he served as the face of the team until his recent trade to San Miguel together with Andreas Cahilig for the veteran duo of Vic Manuel and Terrence Romeo.
He admitted leaving Terrafirma was 'bitter sweet.'

"Mataas ang pangarap ko para sa Terrafirma. Gusto ko talaga maging successful yung team," said Tiongson.
During his time with the franchise starting in 2019, Tiongson managed to help the team reached the playoffs for the first time in eight years during last season's Philippine Cup as part of the talented crew that also included last season's Rookie of the Year Stephen Holt, Isaac Go, Javi Gomez De Liano, and Cahilig.
But not long after, the same lineup was broken up with Holt and Go traded to Barangay Ginebra for Stanley Pringle and Christian Standhardinger, while Gomez De Liano opted to take his act to the Korean Basketball League.
Then Tiongson and Cahilig followed suit when they were shipped to San Miguel prior to the start of the mid-season conference.
The San Miguel point guard said he understands the nature of the business.
