AS if being picked first in the PBA Season 49 draft is not enough, there's one other major thing that excites Justine Baltazar as he embarks on a career in Asia's pioneering pro league.
At Converge, the native of Mabalacat, Pampanga will be reunited with college coach Aldin Ayo.
"Sobrang saya ko kasi nakasama ko na dati si coach Aldin sa UAAP and then nakapag-champion pa kami," said the no. 1 overall pick of this year's rookie batch.
Ayo and Baltazar were together at La Salle and won a title in 2016 as the Green Archers brought the championship trophy back to Vito Cruz.
Now that the two are back with each other again, the 6-foot-6 Baltazar expects to attain the same success they had eight years ago.

"Alam ko na kasi yung sistema ni coach Aldin so excited na naman ako na makasama siya ulit," he said.
Baltazar of course, was grateful to Ayo and Converge management for making him the top rookie pick in the draft.
"Sobrang happy ko ngayon na sa dinami-dami ng kasama ko ngayon na nagpa-draft, ako yung napili nila," said the player nicknamed 'Balti.'(RG)
