HAT trick-seeking Cavitex, guest team Wilcon Depot and two-leg winner Barangay Ginebra scored a pair of smashing victories to secure their spots to PBA 3x3 Season 3 First Conference Leg 6 quarterfinals Monday at Ayala Malls Trinoma.
The Braves' Jorey Napoles, Dom Fajardo, Tonino Gonzaga and Bong Galanza kicked off their bid for a third straight after ruling the previous fourth and fifth stops with a 17-13 verdict over Blackwater Smooth Razor.
The league's pacesetters followed this up with a 19-17 disposal of Leg 3 winner TNT Triple Giga in the battle for the No. 1 seed in the three-team group.
Pool A No. 2 Triple Giga (1-1) joined the Braves to the KO rounds, gaining from their earlier 21-16 demolition of winless Blackwater (0-2).
Wilcon, meanwhile, flexed its muscles in back-to-back romps over Leg 5 runner-up Pioneer Elastoseal, 18-11, and Meralco, 19-15, to show the way in Pool B.

The Batang Pier face the Gin Kings at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday after the 10:30 a.m. between Pool C teams Wilcon and Purefoods.
